the other virus

Washing your hands will stop its spread.

washing our hands has kept it alive.

Maintain at least one metre apart — or is it two?

social distancing has become a way of life.

Avoid touching your face and your eyes.

the more we get to know ourselves, the more tears we cry.

Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.

masks make conversation an awkward undertaking.

Stay home if you feel unwell and choose to self-isolate.

connect once you’re ready to heal, reconcile and celebrate.

Refrain from smoking and other activities that weaken the lungs.

indulge in activities that strengthen the heart and mind.

Avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from large groups of people.

travelling and meeting people where they are is necessary for growth.

Restrict access in schools and public spaces — the risk of outbreak still seems too high.

access to education has never been more public — accept the risk of shattering perspectives.

Flatten the curve and avoid a second peak.

lift others up and climb together.

The best way to tackle this virus is to increase testing.

results show that the ‘other virus’ continues to thrive.

Investigations into disproportionate deaths continue.

does the ‘other virus’ have to claim many more lives?
